The last few weeks, I've been waiting for a friend.
I knew she was coming,
But I wasn't quite sure when she would arrive.
She surprised us on Saturday with her striking pose
And her delicate layers.
I'm so thankful for her company every Spring.
Love peonies, too?
Use them this Spring for a special event...
or choose them for a bouquet.

Beautiful. I was only just talking with a friend a day ago about peonies. It's lovely to see the spring flowers as we head into autumn/winter here in Australia.

ReplyDeletePeonies are absolutely my favorite flower. Everything about them is beautiful. Yours is just lovely. I don't believe they grow where I live so my husband brings them home to me whenever he finds them in the grocery store on sale. I live in the Houston area-if you know of any that can be grown here, please let me know. I would love to have some in my garden-well "sort of" garden :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! She unfolded her lovely gown and pirouetted through the air for all to see. Ooooh! Aaaah!
