Written Words

This morning, feeling sleepy and sore, a sweet little gift was unknowingly waiting for me in my mail.

With how technological our society has become, we seldom ever get notes just because. I was thinking the other day about how intentional people had to be with their relationships before these days when with the click of the computer, we can say "happy birthday" or send someone a little encouragement.

Even though I am extremely grateful for all my technology, it is quite a gift to be able to open up an envelope with my name on it. To be able to physically touch a piece of paper that another has written words on, especially for me.

Thank you, sweet friend, for your gift to me today. I am so grateful for how God has blessed my life with an abundance of friendships that I would not have apart from Him.

Celebrating today with others at Chatting at the Sky. Won't you join us?

  3. Ok, so sorry, Southern Gal to have to delete your sweet words on the other random double post that was up here. I'm not sure why my blogger account is being weird this morning! Come back, I promise I won't delete your comment AGAIN! ;) xoxo

  4. You're so sweet. I don't think I can repost exactly what I commented, but I believe it was along these lines: I would love to have their addresses and be able to send a handwritten note to all my sweet bloggy friends. Just to let them know how special they are to me. Hmmm. Maybe we're on to something...

And I'm with Emily - love her handwriting.

  6. This is a confirmation of something I've had on my mind the past couple of days. I wanted to send all of my close friends a handwritten card to encourage them and let them know that I care about them. I thought they might think it was cheesy, but I now am more determined than ever! And what exquisite handwriting!! I wish mine looked like that. :)
